As an author, mental health professional, television host, producer, and more; I know what it’s like to beat the odds and crush the statistics. Had you told me 20 years ago someone could be referring to me when they said, “Black Girls Rock!” I wouldn’t have believed you. But now, I am here to bring hope to my community.
Along with a community center, housing, the creation of new jobs, clinics, and mentorship programs, I’m bringing something to the greater Macon community, that may be less tangible but is highly impactful. And that is hope!
While the services my company offers are important (health & wellness screenings, internship programs, financial training, mental health, and substance abuse treatment, life skills training, first responder support services, etc.). I want others to know that they too can achieve their dreams. If you’re reading this, I want you to think big! I want you to see an obstacle and not run from it, but rather, break it down.
My ultimate goal is for the disenfranchised to understand that their lives have meaning, value and significance. If no one has told you before, I’m telling you now, you can do whatever your mind can dream!
